Ceramic heaters use the patented elements which are made of an electrically conductive ceramic that has a positive temperature coefficient of electrical resistance. As the temperature of the ceramic increases, the element's resistance increases rapidly, thus reducing the current flow through it. The temperature of the heater is therefore self regulating and does not exceed a temperature of approximately 380 degrees F.
